Once I complete my plan, what do I do?

First, we recommend you click the “Save” button to save your work. Please note that you must be logged in to your account for the information to save permanently. Then, you can click the “Send to Commodity Manager” button to have your plan sent directly to the Schwan’s commodity team. You can also click the “Share” button to share your plan with others via email.

How do I find product information while using the planner?

In the planner, there is a variety of information listed for each product, including serving size, servings per case, CN label and commodity information. If you need to find additional information for a specific product, just click on the product name in the planner and you will be brought to the Schwan’s Food Service website where you can view all the available information for the product.

What if my distributor does not stock an item I would like to purchase?

You can contact your distributor directly to express interest in having them add an item or email our team and we can reach out to the distributor on your behalf.

What is my commitment to my commodity plan? Can I change my plan during the school year?

Your plan does not have to be final once it is submitted and changes can be made. Just make any updates to your saved plan, then resubmit it. This commodity planner is meant to be a helpful guide for schools to plan menus and calculate the commodity usage for those products.

If my plan exceeds the number of pounds I diverted, how do I request more commodities?

Please email our team with your plan and the amount of additional commodities needed. Our team will then review the request and respond to you with next steps.

Can I transfer the commodity pounds I do not plan to use?

Yes, please email our commodity team and we will be able to facilitate the transfer to the state.

Am I able to transfer my commodity pounds to Schwan’s from another manufacturer?

Yes! We can transfer like commodities from another manufacturer. Please email our commodity team and we will be able to coordinate this request.

What are The Kitchen Circle™ (TKC) points listed on the planner?

The Kitchen Circle™ is the K12 rewards program of Schwan’s Food Service. You can accrue points with every purchase of qualifying products and redeem them for over 200 great rewards. To find more information or become a member, please visit The Kitchen Circle™ website.

Are all products listed in the planner in stock at my distributor?

We cannot guarantee that all products are in stock at your distributor, we recommend reaching out to them directly to confirm availability.

How do I select the available commodities for planning?

The planner will automatically show the commodities available to you based on the state you are located in.
